Traditional African stick divination and cowrie shell divination: Our is a time of great disconnection from the natural world, and all of what is unseen. This context of separation has made it possible for us humans to keep consuming our planet in the way that we are. In all cultures but our modern one, people have sought to gain insight on human affairs from a perspective outside our own (the other world). The practice of divination brings the opportunity to move us back into reciprocity; to align ourselves with the frequencies around us, to experience reverence and gratitude for the natural world and the Creator, and to clear up personal and intergenerational trauma.
Tracy is an initiated stick diviner in the ancient tradition of the Dagara people of Burkina Faso, West Africa. Stick divination has been described as truth medicine – a technology for working with the ancestral and natural forces that are demanding our attention. She also practices cowrie shell divination. Both techniques are “prescription oriented”, in the sense that you, as client, are given information accompanied by homework – unique/specific rituals that are intended to bring the story that has emerged into conscious action in your life.
A session may take anything from 45 to 90 minutes. Sessions are offered at the The Storytellers or online.
